Dorothy “Dot” Pruitt, age 80, of Duluth, died Thursday, September 6, 2007. Funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Sunday, September 9 in the Chapel of Tapp/Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Buford with Pastor David Lyle officiating. Burial will follow in Flowery Branch Cemetery. Mrs. Pruitt is preceded in death by her parents- Amsel and Laura Puckett and daughter- Judy Pruitt Outwater. She is survived by her husband of 60 years- Edwin R. Pruitt,; sons- Ken Pruitt, of Lawrenceville and Ted Pruitt, of Duluth; brother and sister-in-law- Dan and Irene Puckett, of Tucker; grandson and his wife- Chris and Cassie Outwater, of Dacula and twin great granddaughters- Ivey and Alex Outwater; grandson- Corey Outwater, of Flowery Branch and great grandson- Chase Outwater. Dot was born in Flowery Branch, GA and loved her hometown. She worked at the beauty salon at Rich's Lenox for more than 40 years. She was a devoted member of Mt Tabor Baptist Church in Duluth for more than 50 years and loved her church, family and friends more than she could express.
