SNELLVILLE - The Georgia Department of Labor's Gwinnett Career Center will sponsor a career fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Snellville United Methodist Church.
The event will feature about 20 employers hiring to fill job openings. In addition, other employers will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with job seekers, while other organizations will be providing educational resources.
Employers expected to participate in the event include Aflac, Atlanta Electrical Contractors, Atlanta Marriott at Gwinnett Place, Cherokee County Sheriff's Office, E.R. Snell Construction, Forsyth County Sheriff's Office, Gwinnett County Police Department, J.A. Recruiters, McKesson, Perimeter Staffing, Stone Mountain Park and United Parcel Service.
"This career fair is designed to bring employers and organizations in the Gwinnett County area together with job seekers who are looking for employment or career guidance," said Michael Thurmond, commissioner for Georgia's Department of Labor.
