James William Nay, age 77, died on September 3, 2007, after a long fight with cancer. Jim was born in Batesville, Virginia to Evelyn F. Nay and Everett E. Nay. He had a degree in commerce from the University of Virginia, where he served on the McIntire School of Commerce Advisery Board and was recently declared a member of the Thomas Jefferson Society of Alumni. He joined Texaco and served as marketing manager in Charlotte and Atlanta and at retirement he was the manager of Texaco Retail USA. Jim was active in the Methodist Church in many cities, and for the last 14 years a member of Perimeter Church. Jim was buried yesterday in a small graveside service in Arlington Memorial Park. The service was officiated by Randy Pope, Senior Minister at Perimeter Church. Jim is survived by his loving wife and team-mate of 47 years, Lynda Nay, his son, JW Nay, Jr. and wife, Jacqueline and granddaughter, Natalie Lynn Nay, who made his later years delightful, daughter, Nancy Roderick and her husband, Scotty; sister, Ann Leach of Bradenton, Florida and Ruth Skiles of Falls Church, Virginia, his many senior friends at the St. Ives Country Club and the Gwinnett Mall Walkers and Talkers.
