Tap, Krispy Kreme are giving it away
Two words: Free beer.
At Tap, the new gastropub in Atlanta, beer lovers unite to join the ranks of the Tap Taster Society, and you're invited. The free club offers patrons a free beer every time they visit the restaurant.
After sampling all 21 on-tap beers, members will receive a free Tap T-shirt. After downing the 21 bottled beers, they get a free Tap beer glass. (Drinking all 42 beers in one sitting is not recommended.)

Ted turns interest to Gwinnett
Ted Turner has conquered Atlanta. Now he's taking over Gwinnett.
On Sept. 12, Ted's Montana Grill will open the doors to its newest location, at The Avenue Webb Gin.
Celebrating its fifth anniversary this year, Ted's was co-founded by media entrepreneur and environmentalist Ted Turner and George McKerrow. Ted's offers a casual setting with a menu featuring homestyle favorites such as steaks, meatloaf and cedar plank salmon, as well as 20 different varieties of beef or bison burgers.
The restaurant, located at 1250 Scenic Highway, suite 1720, in Snellville, will be open for dinner only on Sept. 10 and then lunch and dinner daily starting Sept. 11. This is the second Ted's location in Gwinnett and 12th in the Atlanta area. Visit www.tedsmontanagrill.com.
River's the same, but Ray's is different
Following several months of renovations, Ray's on the River recently unveiled its new, sleeker look.
Designed by Seiber Design Inc., an Atlanta architectural firm, the newly made-over Ray's puts all the attention on the Chattahoochee River in a warm and polished atmosphere.
The new interior features oversized leather banquettes, a temperature-controlled wooden wine wall, vibrantly hued draperies and intimate low lighting to highlight the restaurant's river-front views.
The restaurant's exterior has been outfitted with a neutral color palette, over-scaled mirrors and decorative lighting to focus even more attention on the river.
Ray's has also revamped the kitchen, naming Tom McEachern as executive chef.
