Killian Hill boys win state soccer title

VALDOSTA - Killian Hill Christian claimed the GCAA boys soccer championship, exacting a measure of revenge in a 4-1 victory over Open Bible Christian on Friday.

Killian Hill, which was led by two goals from senior Mac Hildebrand, lost in last year's finals to Open Bible in Lilburn. This year it was Killian Hill's turn to win it on the opposition's home field.

Hildebrand was voted MVP of the game and his brother, Daniel, scored the game's first goal. Also getting a goal in the title win was Carl Boley.

Killian Hill (16-1) was led by a group of five seniors that included Mac Hildebrand, goalkeeper Nick Williams, Chase Williams, Matt Tewes and Pelumi Adefope.
