NORCROSS - Investigators are trying to identity a man hit by a car Monday night.
Gwinnett police spokeswoman Cpl. Illana Spellman said the pedestrian was struck about 7:30 p.m. as he walked along an access road off Peachtree Industrial Boulevard.
A Toyota Avalon changed lanes to avoid hitting a van stopped in the roadway and struck the man, Spellman said.
The injured pedestrian was taken to North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell and was listed in critical condition Monday night. Police did not know the man's current condition but said the man is expected to recover from his injuries.
Spellman said the driver of the Avalon was not injured and does not face any charges. She said charges are pending against the pedestrian who was not walking in a designated crosswalk.
