Author to speak on chiropractic treatment option

James Tomasi once toed the line between life and death.

The retired businessman and pastor at one time considered suicide as the only remedy to years of pain he endured from a debilitating neurological disease called trigeminal neuralgia.

In 1997 Tomasi found a cure for the disease that often sent frequent, painful spasms through his face. Tomasi credits upper cervical care - a branch of chiropractics that involves the manipulation and realignment of the neck and head - with his recovery.

A few months after treatment began, Tomasi started to regain his health and discovered a zeal for life again. The author and businessman is traveling to Gwinnett County to share his story.

The Oklahoma City, Okla., resident will visit Hamilton Mill United Methodist Church, 1450 Pine Road in Dacula, Monday to share his life-changing story with the community.

Tomasi will give out copies of his tell-all book, "What Time Tuesday?" (International Christian Servants, $5), at the free event hosted by Upper Cervical Health Centers of America's Dacula office.

The event begins at 6:45 p.m. and will include dinner and the opportunity to learn about upper cervical care. Doctors and staff will also be on hand to answer questions.

Tomasi and his wife Rhonda maintain a Web site, www.whattimetuesday.com, featuring testimonies of others who have been healed by upper cervical care.
