Mrs. Bertha Smith, age 57, of Lula, GA, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2007. She was preceded in death by her son, Joel Lee Smith. She is survived by her: Husband of 38 years: Mr. Dan Smith, Lula, GA; Sons: Reed Danny Smith, Jr., Lula, GA, Robert McCall Smith, Flowery Branch, GA; Daughter-in-Law: Janice Smith; Foster Children: Christopher Richmon, Tyler Thomas, Destiny Thomas; Sisters: Patricia Austin, Faye Massey; Mother-in-Law: Mary Lee Smith, Manchester, GA; Sisters in Law and Brothers-in-Law; Numerous Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mrs. Smith was born August 7, 1950 in Clay County, AL. She was a homemaker and a church secretary. She was a member of Christ Ambassador Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Ed. Rice officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in Meriwether Memorial Park, Manchester, GA at 2:30 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Arrangements by Junior E.
