BETHLEHEM - The westbound lanes of Ga. Highway 316 were shut down Monday afternoon while Barrow County firefighters extinguished a fire that ignited in bales of hay being towed by a truck, fire officials said.
The road was shut down at about 3 p.m. near Ga. Highway 11. Firefighters had to unload the bales of hay and spread them out to ensure the fire was extinguished. The cause of the fire was not determined Monday afternoon, officials said. No injuries were reported.More like this story
