ZONING CASES - ON THE AGENDA: Here's a look at rezonings and other requests the Planning Commission will consider today. The panel meets at 7 p.m. at the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, 75 Langley Drive, Lawrenceville.

1. RZC-07-057, SUP-07-029: A requested rezoning from single-family residential and commercial to office-institutional for 34.16 acres south of Lawrenceville to be developed as a retirement community and a special-use permit to allow it. The property is at the 2800-2900 block of Brittney Place and the 2800 block of Hutchins Road. The applicant is Mahaffey Pickens Tucker and the owners are Robert and Brenda Cain, Robert Channell III, Robert and Grace Cain, Mitzi Cain and Richard Mayhue and Steven Burn and Marsha Mussman.

2. RZC-07-030, SUP-07-014: A requested rezoning from low-density residential to office-institutional for 16.01 acres south of Lilburn to be developed as a personal care home and a special-use permit to allow the assisted living facility. The property is at the 3800-3900 block of Five Forks Trickum Road. The applicant is Lenox Residential Development, Atlanta, and the owners are Michael Lee and Joann Staples, Lilburn.

3. RZR-07-034: A requested rezoning from low-density residential to zero lot-line residences for 5.62 acres south of Berkeley Lake to be developed as 22 homes. The property is at the 2200 block of Ingram Road. The applicant is Hemlock Holdings, Alpharetta, and the owner is Hulon Minor, Duluth.

4. RZR-07-040, RZM-07-013: A requested rezoning from low-density residential to zero lot-line residential for 11.45 acres south of Lawrenceville to be developed as 69 homes and a requested rezoning from zero lot-line residential to townhouse district for 6.23 acres south of Lawrenceville to be developed as 49 townhomes. The property is at the 300 block of Rack Road and the 3400 block of Sugarloaf Parkway. 6. SUP-07-080: A requested special-use permit to allow automobile sales on 3.66 acres east of Lilburn. The property is at the 4500 block of Stone Mountain Highway. The applicant and owner is Chuck Cannon, Lilburn.

7. MUR-07-001: A requested mixed-use redevelopment overlay district to allow five 25-story high-rises, three seven-story loft buildings, one five-story mixed-use building, a 21-story hotel, a four-story multi-purpose convention center and a 21-story office tower on 42.5 acres east of Berkeley Lake. The property is at the 2100-2300 blocks of Pleasant Hill Road, the 3000 block of Old Norcross Road and the 3000 block of Satellite Boulevard.
