Naked man rushes toward Dacula woman

DACULA - A woman on Drowning Creek Road in Dacula reported that a naked man charged her while she picked okra in her garden this week.

The woman, 43, said the man parked his van across the street from her home, got out and ran toward her, according to a Gwinnett police report released Friday.

The victim yelled for help, and the man ran back to his vehicle and left. She described him as a white man, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall with brown hair and a muscular build. She described his vehicle as a white work van with only a driver's and passenger side window.

The woman told police the van has been driven past the residence twice since the incident.

Two pedestrians struck in Winder

WINDER - Two separate pedestrian accidents kept Winder police busy Friday.

The first accident occurred about 7 a.m. Friday when a woman, 25, driving a 1996 Ford Mustang, struck a man. The driver stopped her car to assist the pedestrian and was rear-ended by a 1994 Honda Civic driven by a 17-year-old girl, police said.

Neither driver was injured in the accident. The pedestrian sought medical attention for pain in his left arm, police said.

In a separate incident, a vehicle struck an elderly shopper as she walked through the parking lot of Quality Foods on Friday afternoon.

Police said the driver of a 2002 Lincoln Continental was blinded by sunlight as she backed out of a handicapped parking space. The victim had leg injuries and is listed in stable condition at an area hospital, police said.
