Man attempts to get license with fake ID
LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville man was arrested Monday after allegedly trying to obtain a driver's license with a fraudulent permanent resident card.
According to an arrest warrant, Hugo Barrios-Aguilera, 58, of 228 Meadowlake Place, presented the fraudulent card to Department of Driver's Services personnel.
Barrios-Aguilera remains at the Gwinnett County Jail with a $11,100 bond.
Man reports accident after fact
DACULA - A 52-year-old Dacula man told police he was injured in an accident Monday hours after the incident happened.
According to a police report, the man was struck by a gold sedan as he was walking along Old Peachtree Road near Hurricane Shoals Road shortly before 6:30 a.m. Monday.
The man told police the driver of the vehicle, an older woman, stopped but he told her he was fine and let her drive away.
Later in the day, while at the Gwinnett Dialysis Center, the man told police he was experiencing pain in his arm and decided to file a report.
He did not get any of the driver's information.
Resident robbed outside home
SUGAR HILL - A man was reportedly robbed Monday as he walked outside to get the newspaper, a police report said.
The 35-year-old Sugar Hill man said he was approached by a black man and woman outside his apartment.
The man pulled a handgun and demanded money from the apartment resident.
The pair fled after hitting the victim in the head with the gun and snatching his cash.
