3 jailed in connection with gas station robbery

LAWRENCEVILLE - Two of three men wanted for the February armed robbery of a Duluth gas station that netted $82,400 were recently arrested, joining the third suspect who was booked in June.

According to a warrant by the Duluth Police Department issued last week, the three men robbed a Buford Highway gas station on the evening of Feb. 22 this year.

Each man used a Glock .40 caliber handgun with a laser site to commit the heist, according to the warrants.

All three remain without bond at the Gwinnett County Detention Center.

Each man's name and charges are listed as follows:

n Manuel Miguel Rivera, 21, of 474 W. Pike St., Lawrenceville, was arrested Sept. 26 and charged with two counts of felony armed robbery.

According to a separate warrant by Duluth police, Rivera also robbed a Quizno's Subs restaurant on Peachtree Industrial Boulevard on Feb. 19. He also used the Glock .40 caliber weapon to commit that hold-up, which garnered $900, the warrant says.

n Andrew James Ganley, 19, 4695 Westchester Court, Duluth, is charged with one count of felony armed robbery. He was arrested Thursday.

n Julius D. Harrell, 20, 117 Ashley Lakes Drive, Norcross, faces one count of felony armed robbery, along with charges of aggravated assault, fleeing police, traffic citations and a probation violation.

Harrell was arrested June 19 by the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department.
