EMS named to Fast 50
NORCROSS - EMS Technologies Inc. has been named to Deloitte's Georgia Technology Fast 50. The annual rankings are based on a company's percentage revenue growth over the last five years.
The Norcross-based wireless and satellite communications company ranked 42nd this year after growing revenues from $174 million in 2002 to $261 million in 2006.
This is the third year EMS Technologies has make the Georgia Technology Fast 50 list.
Plumbing Distributors acquires supply house
LAWRENCEVILLE - Plumbing Distributors Incorporated in Lawrenceville has acquired Dickerson Supply Company, a family owned plumbing supply house with locations in Atlanta and Alpharetta.
The acquisition gives PDI, which distributes plumbing and lighting products, a solid presence in downtown Atlanta and will provide access to commercial business, a press release said.
Justice to open store
DULUTH - Justice will open a 1,300-square-foot store in Gwinnett Place Mall in October.
The store offers clothing and accessories for girls ages 7 through 14.
Justice will be located on the upper level next door to Perfumania and across from the Finish Line.
Stevi B's honored
BUFORD - A Dacula couple's Stevi B's Pizza restaurant was recently named Franchisee of the Year by the chain.
Steve and Suzie Snelgrove, who recently bought the Stevi B's in Buford, won because of their community service, a press release said.
The couple helped raise $13,000 for local schools last year.
