Braselton run set for Saturday
BRASELTON - Braselton's Run for Reading is scheduled for Saturday in the Braselton Park downtown.
Two races are planned - 8K and 2K - beginning at 8 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. respectively. Runners will receive T-shirts and awards.

Pinckneyville Park to hold craft fair
NORCROSS - The Pinckneyville Park Community Center will host the annual Hometown Christmas Craft Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Hometown Christmas Craft Fair offers a variety of gifts from more than 30 local crafters in jewelry, gift baskets, Christmas decor, embroidery and more.
Children ages 12 and under can find family gifts ranging from $1 to $5 at Santa's Gift Shoppe from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Food concessions will also be available for sale by the H.O.O.K.E.D Teen Volunteer Club. Admission is free.

Free aviation program to be held at airport
LAWRENCEVILLE - Pat Epps of Epps Aviation will present a program Saturday to commemorate the centennial year of powered flight in Georgia.
Epps, a native of Athens, is the youngest son of Ben T. Epps, Georgia's first airplane designer, builder and aviation pioneer. In celebration of the 100th year of aviation in Georgia, Epps' program will encompass the works of his father in designing and flying his historic aircraft in Georgia and how Georgia has remained in the forefront of aviation since those early years.
The program is free, open to the public and will take place in the Experimental Aircraft Association's Sport Aviation Center, 690 Airport Road, Gwinnett County's Briscoe Field beginning at 10:30 a.m. A pancake breakfast and/or refreshments are available beginning at 8 a.m., rain or shine. Winder Christmas play begins
WINDER - Winder-Barrow Community Theatre is proud to announce the production of "A Hometown Christmas." This variety show will consist of scenes and songs of the Christmas Season and is for children and adults of all ages.
Performances will be on Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and students.
A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to the Barrow County Family Connection to benefit needy families. Tickets can be purchased at Pam Veader's State Farm Insurance Office at 41 S. Center Street or at Winder City Hall. To purchase by credit card, please call City Hall at 770-867-3106 to order your tickets. They will be held at the door for you. Purchasing tickets in advance is recommended since seating is limited.
Shows will be held in the Colleen Williams Theater in the Winder Cultural Arts Center at 105 E. Athens Street in Winder.
