Local publisher acquires Boston area magazine
LAWRENCEVILLE - Network Communications Inc., a Lawrenceville-based publisher of real estate information covering the U.S., Canada and Mexico, has acquired Apartment Rental Source magazine, a monthly apartment rental publication covering the greater Boston area. The magazine will be incorporated into NCI's Apartment Finder brand extending its reach to 109 serviced markets across the United States.
This latest addition marks Apartment Finder's entry into the southern New England region. In the past five years, Apartment Finder has expanded its presence into 36 new markets through acquisitions and start-ups.
Duluth-based Concurrent to provide for Lockheed-Martin
DULUTH - Concurrent, a Duluth company providing time-critical Linux operating systems and integrated computer solutions for mission-critical applications, has teamed with Diamond Visionics of Owego, N.Y., to provide integrated 3D software and image generator solution to Lockheed Martin locations in Owego, Norfolk, Va., and the Rotary Wing Demonstration Center in Arlington, Va.
"The project goes over the next three years, but we don't know the dollar volume," said Gary Beerman, director of marketing.
SpectRx to supply products to Asian market
NORCROSS - SpectRx Inc. entered into a manufacturing agreement with the Hong Kong-based MacKay Group Ltd., to supply noninvasive breast and cervical cancer detection products to territories in Asia.
The agreement states that SpectRx will manufacture for MacKay 1,000 Biofield Breast Diagnostic Systems. Production will begin in 2008.
