North's Anyaorah scores 28 in win

SUWANEE - North Gwinnett got 28 points from Ebuka Anyaorah and the Bulldogs defeated Chattahoochee 82-75 on Saturday in the Bulldog Classic.

Travis Techo added 22 points for North and Matt Syrett had 15 points.

Chattahoochee's Hajj Waldman scored 22 points.


Collins Hill 62, Shiloh 57

SNELLVILLE - Jeremy Olsen had 15 points, 10 rebounds and Collins Hill defeated Shiloh 62-57 on Saturday.

Anthony Whiting added 12 points for the Eagles.

Zac Lurry led the Generals with 14 points and Matt McCurdy and Cameron Whigham had 12 points each.

Parkview 69, St. Pius 64

LILBURN - Yaw Gyawu scored 25 points and Parkview defeated St. Pius 69-64 on Saturday at the Parkivew Tipoff Classic.

Bobby Glover added 14 points for the Panthers.

St. Pius was led by Jordan Brohm with 26 points and Joe Montgomery with 18.

Peachtree Ridge 81, Landmark Christian 36

McDONOUGH - Peachtree Ridge got 23 points from Khlid Mutakabbir and the Lions rolled to a 81-36 win over Landmark Christian on Saturday.

Bryen Pyles had 21 points and Tony Parks and Cory Blackwell each had 10 for the Lions, who are playing in the McIntosh Bank Tipoff tournament at Union Grove.

Eastside 49, Brookwood

MARIETTA - Brookwood was edged by Eastside in its season-opener 49-46 on Saturday at the Pope Greyhound Classic.

The Broncos had three players in double figures with Nate Hamilton and Sean Capps scoring 11 points each. Lavon Hooks added 10 points.

Central Gwinnett 61, Apalachee 47

DACULA - Central Gwinnett took a 20-3 first quarter lead and never looked back. The Black Knights cruised to a 61-47 victory over Apalachee on Saturday at the Dacula Shootout.

Roman Stephens led Apalachee with 11 points and Andrew Sanderson and Clayton Barber had 10 points each. Shane Sargent had 12 rebounds for the Wildcats.

Riverdale 70, Mill Creek 40

LILBURN - Riverdale defeated Mill Creek 70-40 on Saturday at the Parkview Tipoff Classic.

Rashan Hassan led Riverdale with 17 points.


Collins Hill 57, Shiloh 45

SNELLVILLE - Three-time defending state champion Collins Hill defeated Shiloh 57-45 on Saturday.

Jazmin Walker led the Eagles with 15 points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists. Nikki Urbizo had seven points and eight assists and Marissa Rimbert had 14 points and seven rebounds.

Alyssa Aitken guided the Generals with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

Parkview 66, Decatur 29

LILBURN - Sczeny Hartry scored 13 points and Cally Hannon had 12 to lead Parkview to a 66-29 victory over Decatur on Saturday.

Mia Antoine had nine points and freshman Katie Carroll had eight points for the Panthers, who are hosting the Parkview Tipoff Classic.

Berkmar 69, Chattahoochee 54

SUWANEE - Mariah Richardson was one of four Berkmar players to score in double figures as the Patriots defeated Chattahoochee 69-54 on Saturday.

Richardson led Berkmar with 20 points in the Patriots' season opening win at the Bulldog Classic at North Gwinnett.

Tyra Smith had 14 points and Brittany McDonald and Ka'Vonne Towns each had 13 points.

Dacula 46, Grayson 29

DACULA - Breanna Overby led all scorers with 17 points as Dacula defeated Grayson 46-29 on Saturday at the Dacula Shootout.

Sara Beth White had eight points and eight rebounds for the Falcons.

Grayson was led by Jessica Self with eight points.

North Gwinnett 72, Lithia Springs 26

SUWANEE - Tony Watkins' return as North's basketball coach was a good one on Saturday. The Bulldogs destroyed Lithia Springs 72-26 at the Bulldog Classic at North Gwinnett.

The Bulldogs got 10 points from Stefanie Schuck and Heather Boynce in the win.

Chestatee 47, Meadowcreek 36

MARIETTA - Chestatee defeated Meadowcreek 47-36 on Saturday at the Pope Greyhound Classic.

Gennea Williams led the Mustangs with 17 points, four rebounds, three steals and two assists. Brooke Wigfall added 10 points, five steals, four rebounds and two assists.

Wesleyan 95, Riverdale 41

LILBURN - Wesleyan had five players score in double figures as the Wolves destroyed Riverdale 95-41 in the Parkview Tipoff Classic.

Anne Marie Armstrong led Wesleyan with 21 points and five assists and Erin Hall added 16 points and seven assists. Judean Hanks had 13 points and Aysia McKenzie and Kenninton Groff each had 10 points.
