It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Atlanta, with the metro theater scene already getting into the spirit.

This week, the Fox Theatre is hosting the Theater of the Stars production of Irving Berlin's "White Christmas," a holiday treat that moves hearts to begin their own dreams of snow and a Christmas love to keep them warm.

With its post-World War II Vermont setting, the story is one many of us cherish, remembering the Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney classic movie.

In both the film and stage versions, Tinseltown favorites Bob Wallace and Phil Davis happen upon their former Army general at a Vermont inn, deserted because of warm temperatures. They help out their pal and fall in love along the way.

Not only does the show provide a great start to the holiday season, but its timing is also auspicious - the final performance is on Veterans Day.

The Theater of the Stars production is set up as if the action were being filmed for the movie, with production assistants on stage holding microphones and lights in place as performers sing and dance.

As Wallace, Tom Galantich evokes the smooth, easy-going charm of Bing Crosby, and Karen Murphy provides some comic relief as the inn manager, Martha.

The company proves that the best things happen while you're dancing.

And in the end, the entire audience is enveloped in a winter wonderland as they sing "I'm Dreaming of White Christmas" together.
