Norcross student arrested after school staff threatened

NORCROSS - A Norcross High School student was arrested Thursday and charged with threatening to kill school personnel.

According to an arrest warrant, 17-year-old Mebane Najee of 3886 Moran Way told two assistant principals he would kill them.

Najee was charged with making terroristic threats and acts and disrupting a public school.

Homeowner interrupts theft

LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville resident interrupted a robbery occurring at her home Tuesday, according to a police report.

The woman arrived at her home on Wallace Hill Court about 4 p.m. to sounds of someone coming down her stairs. As she walked farther into her home, she saw a Hispanic man run through her front door and through her front yard.

The man reportedly dropped the woman's digital camera in the yard as he ran away.

Police located a ladder at the back of the home.

Foreign money stolen from Lawrenceville home

LAWRENCEVILLE - Approximately $4,000 in Indian currency was stolen from a Lawrenceville home Wednesday.

According to a police report, the man living in the home on Pintail Court returned to find his home in disarray and the foreign money plus $800 missing.

The thief reportedly entered through a rear window near the back patio.

Only the money was missing.

Gas station robbed at gunpoint

BUFORD - A Buford gas station clerk was dragged at gunpoint to the front of the store Tuesday to empty a cash register.

According to a police report, three black men approached her as she was standing near the rear of the Mystik Gas Station on Gravel Springs Road.

One of the men grabbed her and made her empty a register while holding a gun to her head. She was also forced to open a safe containing more money.
