Sanitation Services collecting canned goods for food bank

LAWRENCEVILLE - A waste removal management company is collecting food this week.

Sanitation Services is collecting cans for the Atlanta Community Food Bank through Sunday.

The company is asking its customers to leave canned goods in recycling bins or bags to be retrieved on normal garbage pickup days. Other residents can bring cans to the company's Gainesville headquarters.

Community theater to hold auditions

WINDER - Auditions for the 2008 Winder-Barrow Community Theatre show "The Man Who Came to Dinner" will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday at the Colleen Williams Theater.

No prepared material is required. The cast of this show requires about 30 people of all ages. The show is being cast early because of the holiday season, but the first show will be Feb. 22.

The next event for the group will be a Christmas variety show with songs and scenes of the season presented by children and adults.

"A Hometown Christmas" will be held at the Colleen Williams Theater at 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and at 3 p.m. Dec. 2. The show includes refreshments and free photos with Santa.

Lincoln Club to hold luncheon

DULUTH - The Lincoln Club of Georgia is holding a November luncheon.

Art exhibit reception tonight

NORCROSS - The reception for the opening of the Sallie Reinsel and Erin McIntosh Art Exhibit will be held at the Pinckneyville Park Community Center tonight.
