Gladiators trade Walsh to Phoenix

DULUTH - The Gwinnett Gladiators traded right wing Ryan Walsh to Phoenix for future considerations on Wednesday.

Walsh has played in six games for the Gladiators this season, notching a goal and an assist. He also has 10 penalty minutes.

A native of Orleans, Ontario, Walsh joined the Gladiators this season after playing overseas in Germany during the 2006-07 season. Walsh played in 45 games in Germany and collected 29 points on 14 goals and 15 assists.

Walsh played his college hockey at St. Francis Xavier University in Antogonish, Nova Scotia, where he helped the X-Men to the CIS Championship in 2004.

The Gladiators continue their fifth anniversary season on Friday with a 7:05 p.m. home game against the Mississippi Sea Wolves at the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
