Blood drive to be held in Duluth
' DULUTH - LifeSouth is teaming up with State Farm Insurance to hold a blood drive next week. Look for the bloodmobile from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Nov. 16 at 11350 Johns Creek Parkway in Duluth. All donors will receive a recognition item and a cholesterol screening. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and show a photo ID at the time of donation. Stroke screenings to be available to Lilburn residents ' LILBURN - Residents living in and around the Lilburn area can be screened to reduce their risk of having a stroke. Life Line Screening will visit the Sunrise at Five Forks assisted living home beginning at 9 a.m. Nov. 14 at 3997 Five Forks Trickum Road in Lilburn. Chiropractor to hold patient appreciation day ' LAWRENCEVILLE - Wilber Chiropractic will host a patient appreciation day Thursday. New patients will receive consultations and X-rays, and free scoliosis screenings for children under 14 years old will also be given. Doctors are asking patients to bring five cans of nonperishable food items or a $5 donation. Everything collected will be given to the Community Food Bank.
