Helen Stephens Bennett

Helen Stephens Bennett, age 76, of Lilburn, GA, went to be with the Lord on November 2nd, 2007 after an extended illness. She is survived by her husband, Ernest Bennett; daughter, Fran Konradt and husband, John of Atlanta, daughter, Jennie Cross and husband, Jim of Watkinsville; sisters, Doris Webb of Eatonton and Dorothy Johnson and husband, Hansel of Snellville; four grandchildren, Andrew & Julia Konradt & Arianna and Chance Cross; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Jane Bennett of Lilburn, Martha Snell of Loganville, Jack Snell of Greensboro, Joan and Mike Johnson of Loganville, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bennett was a Homemaker and a Member of the Mountain Park First Baptist Church. She was born in Gwinnett County on September 10, 1931 to J.W. “Ben” Stephens & Arlene Moore Stephens. She graduated from Snellville High School and was active with the Alumni Association. Prior to her marriage, Mrs. Bennett worked for the old Life of Georgia Insurance Co. in Atlanta. She served the Lord for over 25 years teaching children in Sunday School at Corinth Baptist Church. Her greatest joy and love was being with her husband of forty-six years, her two daughters, her two sons-in-law and her four grandchildren. A Service Celebrating the Life of Helen Stephens Bennett will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at 3:00pm at Wages Snellville Chapel with Reverend Bill Blanchard officiating. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Monday before the service.
