Woman busts window with ax
NORCROSS - A 24-year-old Norcross woman has been arrested and charged with busting out the window of a man's truck with a pick ax.
According to the warrant, Mariana Gonzalez of 5459 Terrace Garden Way damaged the vehicle parked outside her home Friday.
Gonzalez was taken to the Gwinnett County jail and charged with second-degree criminal damage to property.
Employee of Wal-Mart accused of stealing money
STONE MOUNTAIN - A Wal-Mart employee was arrested Thursday after authorities were informed she had allegedly been stealing money from the store on Rockbridge Road in Stone Mountain.
Rai Jacquese Suggs, 20, of 956 Brownwell Court in Stone Mountain is accused of stealing $1,100 from a store cash register over a months time, according to a warrant.
Suggs remains at the Gwinnett County Jail with a $2,300 bond.
Lawn equipment stolen from truck
DULUTH - A Duluth man said $1,500 worth of lawn equipment and tools were stolen from his pickup truck while he was purchasing a chain for his chain saw at a Home Depot.
According to a police report, the man was only in the store on Shackleford Road for 10 to 15 minutes Tuesday. When he returned to his truck, a weed eater and a number of other of items were missing from the bed of his truck.
Men hide under washing machine
NORCROSS - Two men tried to hide from police under a Norcross laundromat washing machine Wednesday, a police report said.
Miguel Guillen Dominguez and Carlos Herbert Hernandez ran from police, taking to their hiding spots when they noticed a patrol car pull into the Chevron gas station on South Norcross Tucker Road where they were reportedly loitering.
An officer followed the men and found them lying under a machine. The pair admitted they had been drinking but gave no reason why they felt the need to hide from police.
Both were arrested and charged with loitering and prowling and disorderly conduct.
