Mills McCartney: Media pushed her 'to the edge'

LONDON - Heather Mills McCartney broke her silence Wednesday about her divorce from Paul McCartney, saying in TV interviews that she fears for her life because of death threats and blaming tabloids for her problems.

'We've had death threats, I've been close to suicide. I'm so upset about this,' Mills McCartney said on ITV. 'I've had worse press than a pedophile or a murderer and I've done nothing but charity for 20 years.'

Brosnan being investigated in alleged assault

MALIBU, Calif. - Sheriff's officials are investigating Pierce Brosnan in an alleged assault in Malibu last week.

Steve Whitmore, a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, said the incident allegedly occurred outside a Mexican restaurant Friday night. Whitmore identified the alleged victim as Robert Rosen, but declined to give more details.
