Truck comes to school
LOGANVILLE - The New London School of Driving has invited the Publix No Zone Big Rig to the school Saturday. The truck will be in the school's parking lot from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. for drivers to learn about how to safely drive around tractor-trailers. The school is at 4392 Lawrenceville Road in Loganville. Inaugural 5K road race set LAWRENCEVILLE - The Student Osteopathic Medical Association of Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine is hosting its inaugural GA-PCOM Old Peachtree Road 5K at 7:30 a.m. Saturday. Girl Scouts collect items for Center LAWRENCEVILLE - Girl Scout Troop No. 1771 is partnering with The Foster Children's Foundation to help restock its Resource Center, which is where foster families bring their children to shop for needed items at no charge. Donations such as new undergarments, toiletries and diapers can be dropped off at the Rivershyre Clubhouse at 1150 Rivershyre Parkway in Lawrenceville Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon, or call Barbara O'Harra at 678-485-0008 to make other arrangements.
