NORCROSS - Wesleyan pitcher Grayson Garvin pitched two scoreless innings, extending his streak to 32 straight innings without allowing a run, as the Wolves defeated St. Francis 8-2 on Monday.

Pair shoplift perfume bottles

•DULUTH - A man and woman were seen by an ULTA cosmetics store manager Thursday afternoon burglarizing the store located at 3855 Venture Drive.

According to a police report, the manager saw a black man and woman take a number of perfumes from the shelves and conceal them in their clothing.

When the manager confronted the man, telling him to reveal what he had taken, the man told the manager she would have to reach in his pockets and get the items herself.

The man and woman then fled in a white van with approximately $1,000 worth of fragrances.

Mr. Larry Brown, age 78, of Buford, GA, passed away on Sunday, May 6, 2007. He is survived by his: Son and Daughter-in-Law: Matt and Karen Brown, Suwanee, GA; Daughter and Son-in-Law: Lisa and Tony Chapek, Lawrenceville, GA; Six Grandchildren: Chris Brown, Kevin Brown, Jay Brown, Andrew Brown, T. J. Chapek, Daniel Chapek; Sisters: Ruth Christensen, Avoca, IA, Dorothy Hilderbrand, Hancock, IA; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. Brown was born March 16, 1929 in Hancock, IA. He was a graduate of the University of Iowa. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in the Korean War. He was the owner of Delta Pipe Products in Atlanta and also in Fort Worth, TX. He was a member of the Braselton Lions Club and was of the Methodist Faith. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Chaplain Samuel Parsons officiating. Albert William Barden, age 95 of Dacula, GA, died suddenly Saturday, May 5, 2007. Mr. Barden has been cremated and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Mr. Barden was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta B. Barden. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Linda Barden, Dacula and Sister, Agnes Hoeffler, NY. Mr. Barden was a native of Seneca, New York and had lived in the metro Atlanta area the past seven years. Mr. Wild was born on November 5, 1925 in New Orleans, LA. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a retired fireman from the New Orleans Fire Department after 40 years of service. Mary Bower, age 77, of Lawrenceville, passed away on Sunday, May 6th, 2007. She had been fighting Parkinson's Disease for 7 years. Harry J. Chapman, age 98, of Loganville, passed away on May 6, 2007. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
