Chiseled with only the words "In Memory of Clayton Shadinger" into a granite background, police believe the block was removed from a cemetery and dumped at the building.

Man dies after being stabbed by road rager

SUGAR HILL - Trena Newberry said her husband, Tony, never met a stranger and a smile was always on his face.

The Sugar Hill couple had been sweethearts since they were teenagers, married just two years ago and had a four-year-old daughter they adored. But Trena and daughter Kayla will have to learn to do without the man they loved for so long.

Trena said it won't be the same without her husband, who was stabbed to death Tuesday in what Atlanta police are calling an act of road rage.

Atlanta Police Department spokesman Steve Coleman said Tony Newberry was driving northbound on Interstate 85 when he and a man driving a dark-colored vehicle exited at Northside Drive and became involved in a confrontation.

While arguing, the man, whose name was not being released by police, allegedly stabbed Newberry multiple times.

Coleman said he was unsure exactly what events took place on the road that led to the incident.

Trena Newberry and her daughter were in the car at the time of the incident, but declined to discuss what happened.
