Motorcycle crashes into policeman's SUV
•BRASELTON - The driver of a speeding motorcycle crashed into a Braselton Police Captain's SUV May 21, Braselton police reports state.
A police officer clocked the motorcycle running at 84 mph on Interstate 85, according to police reports. The motorcycle passed cars on the right shoulder and cut off several cars while changing lanes, police reports state. The motorcycle left the interstate at exit 129 and crashed into a silver SUV at the bottom of the ramp. Braselton Police Captain Lou Solis, owner and driver of the SUV, assisted the traffic officer.
Stanislav Kim, 22, of Lawrenceville, was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment for lacerations to his wrist suffered in the wreck. Kim was issued citations and charged with numerous traffic violations. His passenger, Pavel Dragni, 21, of Lawrenceville, was arrested and charged with permitting an unlicensed person to drive.
Golf carts taken for joy ride at Chateau Elan
•BRASELTON - Golf carts from Chateau Elan's equestrian center ended up in a pond and a creek after being taken on joy rides Wednesday and Thursday nights.
About $1,900 worth of damage was done to signs and a golf cart when an unknown person took the cart for a drive around the golf course Wednesday night, police reports said. The golf cart was found in a pond near Golf Club Drive.
A second golf cart was found in a creek near the 12th hole Friday morning. Syringes and a small plastic pack were also found at the scene.
Equipment stolen from Chateau Elan clubhouse
•BRASELTON - About $3,120 worth of computer equipment was reported missing from the Legends clubhouse at Chateau Elan on Wednesday. Police reports state there was no forced entry into the building.
