Mrs. Helen Henderson Bowers, 83, of Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away at Peachtree Christian Hospice, Duluth, Ga. on Tuesday May 22, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer. An inspiration to us all, she is now with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She leaves behind to cherish her memory: Daughter and son-in-law Vicki and Leonard Lowe of Suwanee, Ga.; Grandson Stephen Lowe, his wife Stephanie and great-grandchild Ethan. Grandson Brian Lowe, his wife Melinda and great-grandchildren, Chandler and Weston. Daughter and son-in-law Milana and Russ Myers of Daytona Beach, Fl., step-grandchildren Scott Myers, Michelle and Drew Gaden and their son, Logan. Daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Richard Larsen of Tyrone, Ga.; Grandsons Alex and Austin Larsen. Additional survivors include her sister and brother-in-law Diana and Roy Johnson of Landrum, SC, and niece Rebecca and Phillip Allison of Forrest City, NC; as well as numerous church family and specials friends. Beloved Kitty, Jonah, has been adopted by Lynne and Larry Pata. Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Bowers will be held Sunday May 27, 2007, at 6:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Lilburn. Mrs. Susan Rumble will be officiating. Honoring her service to the United States Navy during WWII, interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fl. and officiated by the Reverend John Downing, College Road Baptist Church, Ocala, Fl. at a later date. Special thanks to the staff at Peachtree Christian Hospice for their tender care. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Helen Bowers to Peachtree Christian Hospice, Duluth, Ga.; First Baptist Church of Lilburn, Lilburn, Ga.; or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
