LAWRENCEVILLE - Gwinnett police arrested a 23-year-old man Sunday on a murder charge in connection with the shooting death of a Loganville man.
Demarcus Lerenzo Mister is being held without bond in the Gwinnett County Detention Center. Although jail records list his residence as a Stone Mountain address, the arrest warrant includes addresses in Stone Mountain and Doraville.
Mister is accused of participating in an armed robbery in which Marcus Wayne Talton was shot and killed, according to an arrest warrant.
The shooting happened April 27 at the Bridgewater Apartments at 4275 Satellite Blvd. in Duluth, police spokesman Cpl. Darren Moloney said. Talton was not a resident of the apartments.
The crime appears to be drug-related, Moloney said.
After he was shot, Talton, 22, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he died several hours later, Moloney said.
