LAWRENCEVILLE - A grand jury this week indicted two men on murder charges in the shooting of a Decatur man at a Norcross apartment complex in January.
Carlos Lamar Smith, 22, and Adrian Derell Perkins, 21, were indicted on two counts of felony murder in the shooting death of Jacques Rickey Fuqua. Fuqua, 19, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Reserve Apartments on Hunters Club Lane. The victim was not a resident of the apartment complex. The grand jury also indicted Smith and Perkins on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The charges are related to a robbery of a separate victim on the same day in January.More like this story
