Woman has purse snatched

•NORCROSS - A 69-year-old woman was robbed as she walked to her vehicle parked at the Publix supermarket at 3200 Holcomb Bridge Road on Sunday.

According to a police report, the Norcross woman was walking to her vehicle when a black man dressed in a white shirt and jeans approached her from the front and grabbed her purse.

The woman said she resisted at first but let go of the bag. The man fled with the purse worth about $200, her wallet, $200 and her cell phone.

The woman said she believes the man may have gotten into a white Lincoln Continental.

Man has money stolen

waiting at drive-through

•NORCROSS - A Norcross man said he was robbed while attempting to order food at the Taco Bell drive-through window at 1740 Indian Trail-Lilburn Road on Friday night.

While at the window the man was approached by a man asking for money, according to a police report.

The driver said he pulled out his wallet from his back pocket and when he brought his wallet near the window the man grabbed about $100.

The thief was described as a slim black man with gray hair and a beard.

Whiskey stolen from store

•LILBURN - More than $500 worth of whiskey was stolen from a Lilburn liquor store Friday night.

According to a police report, someone broke through the glass doors of the 29 Package store located at 4098 U.S. Highway 29 and took two cases of Crown Royal priced at $25.99 a bottle.

The store owner said store video surveillance may have captured the thief on tape and she believes a rock was used to break the glass doors and enter the store.
