Frances A. Jenkins, age 79, of Conyers, GA died Friday, May 11, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007, at Horis A. Ward's Rockdale Chapel at 11 a.m., with Pastor Steve Love and Rev. Scott Pickering officiating. Interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens in Conyers. A native of Dekalb County, Mrs. Jenkins was a member of Hopewell UMC, in Tyrone, where she was a member of the Recycled Kids Senior Adult Ministry. She is survived by: husband of 60 years, George W. Jenkins of Conyers; Daughters: Donna Slaton of Tyrone and Sandra and husband David Boynton of Covington; Son, Danny and wife Diane Jenkins of Conyers; 5 Grandchildren: Mike Jenkins, Jaime Foster, Justin Boynton and wife Deanne, Jason Boynton and wife Nicole, Julianne Slaton; 6 Great Granchildren; Sisters-In-Law: Frances Adams and Lorene Adams. Daniel V. Peek, II age 17 of Snellville, GA died May 9, 2007. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph H. Peek and is survived by his mother, Angela Shimp of Snellville; father and step mother, Daniel V. and Shary Peek of Grayson; sisters, Savanna Shimp of Snellville, Muriel Peek of Grayson; brothers, Michael V. Peek of Snellville, Joseph Peek of Grayson; grandparents, Jennie Jackson Peek of Jonesboro, Janet and Windell Sexton of Snellville, Billy M. Vinson of Grayson; great grandparents, Velva and Ed Carr of Grayson; several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Daniel, a junior at Brookwood High School, was the starting quarterback for the Bronco's and lead them to the semi finals. He was a member of the Leadership Council at Brookwood High School and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Daniel had been involved in sports since he was 6 years old and his passion was football. He was being recruited by numerous teams, such as Vanderbilt, University of Alabama, Southern Miss and Boston College. Daniel was a loving, and kind hearted person. Daniel is still helping people by being an organ donor through Life Link of GA. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 14 at 3pm at Cross Pointe Church, 1800 Satellite Blvd, Duluth, GA 30097.
