NORCROSS - Police have identified the body of 47-year-old man found in a tow truck Wednesday morning as Olugbega Ikuesan of Marietta.
Ikuesan's body was discovered slumped over in the driver's seat parked on the side of Green Point Parkway near Peachtree Industrial Parkway. Authorities said the victim was shot to death.
"No further information is available at this time. The investigation continues," said Cpl. Darren Moloney, Gwinnett County Police Department spokesman.
The truck did not appear to have been broken down and seemed to be without any afoul such as a cracked windshield or bullet markings.
Police are investigating a similar homicide two weeks ago, when the body of Ricardo Omar Belle, 36, was discovered in a Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo parked behind the Kohl's store in Duluth.
The incidents are similar, but not connected, police said.
"We have absolutely nothing to connect it to Kohls nor do we suspect it," Moloney said.
