Mrs. Patricia "Pat" Jordan, age 64, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday evening, May 8, 2007, after a long illness. A native of Glennville, GA, she had resided in the Augusta area for the past 20 years. She was a member of New Hope Worship Center. She is preceded in death by: her mother, Mrs. Helen Sands, who passed away in 1999. She is survived by: her 3 sons, Jeffrey Wasson (Rebecca), Springfield, GA; Mark Wasson (Deborah), Atlanta, GA; Patrick Wasson, San Diego, CA; Her Father, Marcus Sands, Glennville, GA; 1 brother, Tom Sands (Dagmar), Atlanta, GA; 5 grandchildren, Brandy, Victoria, Allison, Marcus and Samuel, 2 great grandchildren, Dayton and Tori, and 2 nephews, Chris and Michael Sands. Funeral services were held on Thursday evening May 10, 2007, from the Chapel of Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, with Pastor Rich Bowen and Dr. Jerry Lambert officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Loves' Chapel Cemetery, Glennville, GA. Mrs. Jordan will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the hour of service at Love's Chapel, Glennville, GA, on Friday. Pallbearers will be: Chris & Michael Sands, Richard Wasson, Ed & Michael Bolton and Michael Rogers.
Ruth M. Bishop, age 85 of Duluth, died May 9, 2007. A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, May 13, 2007 at White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Duluth, with Chaplain Bob Duvall officiating. Mrs. Bishop a lifelong resident of Duluth, worked for AT&T Engineering Dept. for 10 years and was a member of Duluth First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, David Bishop of Duluth, and cousins Susan Wright, Mildred Garmon and Betty Spruill. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society. Eunice Oneida Hall Dean, 91 of Salem passed away Wednesday May 9, 2007. She was a retired teachers assistant at High Hope Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Mrs. Dean was an avid gardener and loved to sew and do numerous crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Dean, parents, Mark L. & Rosa Poage Hall, brother, Ellis L. Hall, sister, Ruby H. Goddard & husband, Pete, niece, Suzanne Hall and a nephew, Roger Goddard. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Cynthia D.
