NORCROSS - A Gwinnett County grand jury has indicted a Norcross man for allegedly raping and kidnapping a 41-year-old woman after forcing his way into her car parked outside a Norcross nightclub.
Esteban Pineda, 28, of Norcross was indicted on charges of hijacking a motor vehicle, kidnapping, aggravated sodomy, rape and false imprisonment. Pineda also was indicted on drug and weapon charges related to the incident, including possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a felony and possession of marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamine. The accused forced the victim to submit to a sexual act "by holding a gun and demanding," the indictment said. In February, the alleged victim told police she was parked outside the Tenapa Night Club on Chamblee Tucker Road, waiting for her husband who worked there. Pineda drove a blue pickup truck into the parking lot, pointed a gun at her and forced his way into her vehicle, she told police. The suspect took control of the woman's vehicle and drove to a secluded area first in DeKalb County where she was allegedly sexually assaulted and then into Gwinnett County where he again sexually assaulted the woman, police said.More like this story
