Eunice Oneida Hall Dean, 91 of Salem passed away Wednesday May 9, 2007. She was a retired teachers assistant at High Hope Center in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Mrs. Dean was an avid gardener and loved to sew and do numerous crafts. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray L. Dean, parents, Mark L. & Rosa Poage Hall, brother, Ellis L. Hall, sister, Ruby H. Goddard & husband, Pete, niece, Suzanne Hall and a nephew, Roger Goddard. She is survived by her daughters & son-in-law, Cynthia D. Van Dyke, Bluffton, SC., Rebecca & Terry Duncan, Jefferson, GA., sons & daughter-in-law, William L. & Linda Dean, Mint Hill, NC., Daniel A. Dean, Salem, VA., seven grandchildren, three step grandchildren , two great granddaughters, sister, Lois Dean, Roanoke, VA., brother & sister-in-law, Robert & Edith Hall, Winston Salem, NC., sisters-in-law, Pearl Hall & Katherine Dean, both of Roanoke, VA., several nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel, 12:00 Noon Saturday, May 12, 2007. The Rev. Dr. Tom Stocks will officiate. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at Oakey's South Chapel from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. on Friday. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimers Association, 2728 Colonial Ave., Suite 2, Roanoke, Va. 24015.
