Two workers fall through roof of home in Lilburn
•LILBURN - Two construction workers were injured Tuesday afternoon when a roof fell in from under them, firefighters said.
Gwinnett County Fire Department spokesman Lt. Thomas Rutledge said the two men working were on the roof of a home located at Rivermist and Windhurst drives in Lilburn when they fell inside the house from the roof peak to the second level.
Rutledge said the men were taken to Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville with injuries that weren't life threatening and were in stable condition. He said a third worker who was inside the house at the time of the collapse was not injured.
The men were part of a contracting crew who worked for Romero Roofing Service doing restoration work on the home.
The three men were the only workers at the house at the time of the collapse and no one else was injured.
Firefighters are unsure what caused the roof to collapse, but said the home was struck by lightning in March.
