Snellville hair salon robbed
•SNELLVILLE - A Snellville hair salon at 1195 Scenic Highway was robbed about Wednesday about noon by two men with silver handguns.
The J Scott Salon owner said the two black men demanded she empty the cash register, then took money and a cell phone from customers, according to a police report.
The men were wearing masks and appeared to be in their 20s. More than $1,000 worth of belongings were taken from the owner and customers.
Man robbed after falling for laptop scam
•LAWRENCEVILLE - A Lawrenceville man was robbed by two men attempting to sell him laptop computers shortly before 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The self-employed computer repairman was outside his Sugarloaf Gate Court home when two men in an older model burgundy car stopped to ask if he wanted to buy some laptop computers, a police report said.
When the man agreed, the men pulled the car into the driveway to show him their products. After the man took a look at the computers, one of the men threatened the homeowner with a knife and took his money and jewelry, then fled.
After examining some left boxes behind marked "laptops," the resident discovered the boxes were filled with three-ring binders and bubble wrap.
Man exposes himself at Duluth park
•DULUTH - A Duluth woman said a man exposed himself to her Sunday while she was exercising at Shorty Howell Park at 2750 Pleasant Hill Road.
An Hispanic man believed to be in his late 20s or early 30s ran in front of the 44-year-old real estate agent, pulled down his pants and began touching himself, according to a police report.
The woman said she was on the park trail about 8:15 a.m. near the playground when the man ran into her view. She said she noticed him watching her before the incident.
Someone had also placed magazine pages of pornographic pictures on park benches, the woman said.
