Jewell Hannah Davis, age 89, of Lawrenceville, GA, died March 2, 2007. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Roy Amicus Davis; daughter, Charlotte Davis Giddens; son, Ronnie Davis and grandson, Donald Wayne Davis. Mrs. Davis is survived by her son, Wendell & Phyllis Davis of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Wayne & Barbara Davis of Jefferson, GA; daughter, Lynne' & Mike Butler of Dacula, GA; son, Allen & Anita Giddens of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Kevin & Kendra Giddens of Jefferson, GA; brother, Early S. Hannah, Jr. of Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Dovie Caudell of Lawrenceville, GA, Betty & Tunney Elkins of Macon, GA; grandchildren, Rowdy Davis, Lance Davis, Ralph Davis, Jason Davis, Andrew Davis, Michael Butler, James Butler, Jordan Gilleland, Mattie Smith, Sarah Kate Giddens, and great grandchildren, Jackson Davis, Tucker Davis, Brady Davis, Carson Davis & Morgan Berkhan. Mrs. Davis was born in Gwinnett County on January 16, 1918 the daughter of Early & Debbie Hannah. She was a 60+ year member of Prospect United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Prospect United Methodist Women. She was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother and was known for her wonderful cooking and especially her pecan pies. She was retired from the Gwinnett County Public School System. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, March 4, 2007 at 2:30 PM at Prospect United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim Turrentine and Rev. Grady Mosley officiating.
