Richard Charles Fromant, of Buford, Georgia, passed away on June 24, 2007 at the age of 90. Mr. Fromant was an honored veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his beloved country during WWII with the 818th Signal Port Service Company. Upon his honorable discharge on January 1946, Mr. Fromant continued to serve his country with the Enlisted Reserve Corps until his honorable discharge on January 1949. After the war Mr. Fromant joined Deeks & Company Inc. out of Cincinnati, OH and later transferred to the Atlanta area. He was instrumental in growing the company to become the Southeast's leading supplier of raw materials and containers to the paint industries. Mr. Fromant later retired as president of Deeks & Co. Mr. Fromant recently received an honor from the Masons for his 60 years with the Grand Lodge of Ohio. His adoring wife, Kathryn Jean of 62 years, preceded Mr. Fromant in death. He is survived by his children, Chris Fromant of Woodstock, GA, and Mary Kay Adamson of Suwanee, GA; 6 grandchildren, Angela, Marcus, Brian, Jason, Scott, Desiree; and 3 great grandchildren, Gage, Charles, and Ryleigh. Mr. Fromant was a dignified and well respected man who will be greatly missed. We love you Dad. Mrs. Jacqueline Joyce Schocke, age 77, of Buford, GA, died Saturday, June 23, 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Marianne Romine and her husband, Clarence Carl Schocke. Mrs. Schocke was born May 9, 1930 in Imlay City, MI. She and her husband operated Gamble's Hardware and Appliance Store in Imlay City, MI and she later retired from National City Bank. Bernice Corine Cash, age 85, went to be with her Lord on June 27, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Mr. Milton H. Cash; Daughter, Eunice L. Hughes; Son, William Delone Cash, and her Parents, Mr. William & Emma Cantrell. Also preceding her were several sisters and brothers.
