Mary Beth McElwee and Nicholas Michael Day were married May 20 at the Bona Allen Mansion in Buford. The Rev. Herb Gladden, grandfather of the groom, officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Wallace McElwee of Phenix City, Ala. and Debbie McElwee of Waverly Hall. She is a 2006 graduate of Gwinnett College of Business, where she received an associate's degree in medical assisting. She is employed by the Atlanta Heart Specialists as a medical assistant.
The groom is the son of Frank Day of Buford and Angela Kirk of Jacksonville, Fla. He is a 2005 graduate of Full Sail Real World Education, where he received an associate's degree in recording arts. He is employed by Adult Swim as an associate producer.
Laura Burns of Gainesville served as the bride's matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Sidney McElwee of Waverly Hall, Lindy Wooddell of Phenix City, Ala., Jamie Brand of Shiloh and Dana Gladden of Suwanee.
Frank Day of Buford, father of the groom, served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were Clark Gladden, Craig Hartin, David Kirk, Huy Tang and Ryan Harbert.
After a honeymoon to St. Augustine, Fla., the couple now resides in Flowery Branch. Maynard - Gallaspy
Sara Jo Maynard and Eric Lewis Gallaspy were married May 12 in Flowery Branch. Judge Rita Cavanaugh officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Joel and Debe Maynard of Suwanee. She is a 2006 graduate of the American Intercontinental University. She is employed by Peachtree Service Experts.
The groom is the son of Richard Gallaspy of Lawrenceville and Linda Kaminsky of Sugar Hill. He is employed by Andean Chevrolet as an automotive technician.
Clara Iacob of Phoenix served as the bride's matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Katherine Harwell of Buford and Hannah DeGallaspy of Sugar Hill, sister of the groom. Emily Warren of Buford, served as a junior bridesmaid.
Noelle Iacob served as the flower girl.
Josh Warren of Marietta served as the groom's best man.
Groomsmen were Mickey Sanders of Buford and Brian Moore of Lawrenceville. Evan Kaminsky of Sugar Hill, brother of the groom, served as a junior groomsman.
Jacob Warren of Buford served as the ring bearer.
After a honeymoon in Tennessee, the couple now resides in Buford.
Francis J. Aaron and Bobbie R. Aaron recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on June 11, 1947 in Monticello.
The couple celebrated at a local restaurant with family and friends. The couple has three children: Frank Aaron of Warner Robins, Debbie Aaron Bullard of Lilburn, and Chris Aaron of Tampa, Fla. They also have seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Francis and Bobbie are both retired.
