Armed pair rob Quiznos

•DULUTH - The manager of a Duluth Quiznos Subs said the store was robbed Thursday night.

According to a police report, two black men walked into the store at 860 Duluth Highway pointing a gun at the manager and another employee and demanding money from the register and the safe.

The employees complied and were forced, along with two customers, into a cooler in the back of the store.

The manager said the men fled with approximately $800 from the safe and register.

Pizza man assaulted

•Norcross - A Papa John's carryout employee was robbed while making a delivery Thursday night, a police report said.

The 30-year-old man said he was delivering two pizzas to a couple sitting on the steps of 6300 Holcomb Way. As he approached the two and pulled out the pizzas, the deliveryman was approached from behind and hit in the head by two people.

The man said he dropped the pizzas and ran to the Papa John's store across the street where he called police.

According to the report, the man's attackers took the pizzas and his car keys.

Man robs store at gunpoint

•NORCROSS - The owner of a Norcross Metro PCS said he and his store were robbed Friday night.

According to a police report, a thin black man in his teens entered the store at 7040 Jimmy Carter Blvd. and acted as if he wanted to purchase a $15 phone card.

When the man approached the counter he pulled a silver revolver from his pants and demanded the manager's wallet and money from the register.

The manager said the man fled with $1,100 from his wallet and about $100 from the register.
