John Edgar Williams, age 89, passed away Friday, June 8, 2007 at Embracing Hospice in Snellville, GA. He was born on July 20, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was active in the Euclid Lutheran Church in Euclid, Ohio and was a salesman for Kraft Foods until he retired in 1979. He was married to Florence Hein Williams on August 24, 1940. He was a member of the Al Koran Temple in Cleveland, Ohio and transferred to the Cherokee Shrine Club in Canton, GA. He and Florence had two sons, Douglas (died February 11, 2006 in Willowick, Ohio) and Kenneth. He and Florence moved to Georgia in 1979. They were active in the Lake Arrowhead community for many years and were active members of Waleska Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Florence Williams. In 1991, John married Fay Barrett and they lived several years at Lake Arrowhead and moved to Chambrel of Roswell in 2004. After an extended illness at Gwinnett Medical Center, Mr. Williams spent his final days at Embracing Hospice in Snellville. He is survived by his son, Ken and daughter-in-law, Cindy Williams of Dacula, GA; Grandson, Bradley Williams and his wife, Christy, and great-grandson, Braden of Dacula, Ga.; Granddaughter, Andrea Williams Hendrix and her husband, Ryan of Jefferson, GA. Mr. Williams was an inspiration to all by the way he enjoyed life and lived his life to the fullest. A Memorial Service to celebrate the life of John Williams will be held on Tuesday, June 12th at 2:00 PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel. Rev. Davis Chappell will officiate. Mignonne Reavis Mather, age 91, of Duluth, and a former resident of Avondale Estates from 1954 until 1998, died Saturday, June 9, 2007. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, June 11th at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, 3000 Lawrenceville Hwy, Tucker, with ministers, Joe Glenn and Al Bastain officiating. A native of Summerville, GA, Mrs. Mather was an honor graduate of both Summerville High School and Bessie Tift College. She retired from the U. S. Department of Interior in 1978 following a 20 plus year career and then moved on to a second career as executive secretary to the General Manager of Davison's Department Store in Atlanta. Mrs. Mather was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who loved the Lord. She was a charter member of the Decatur (now Northlake) Church of Christ and was preceded in death by her dear husband, Elton B. Mather in 1973, son Walter Leland Mather in 1945, and six beloved bothers and sisters. Survivors include: sons and daughters-in-law, E. Bruce and Susan Mather, Beacon, NY and Dr. William H. and Karen Mather, Duluth; grandchildren, Jason and Libby Mather of Westlake, OH, Mary Bliss Mather of Seattle, WA, William H. Mather, Jr. and Luke D. Mather of Duluth; great grandchildren, Raquel, Clay and Charlotte Mather, Westlake, OH; sister and brother-in-law, Hazel and J.D. Mankin, Arvada, CO; sisters-in-law, Marion Aye Reavis, Lawrenceville and Louise Reavis, Janesville, WI; and several nieces and nephews. Beth E. Christensen, age 95 of Lawrenceville, formerly of Pilger, Nebraska, passed away on Saturday, June 9, 2007. Janice Bramwell, age 63 of Snellville, after courageously enduring ovarian cancer for seven years, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 9, 2007. Janice was a devoted Christian, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her life and struggles were a strong testimony of God's greatness to many people. Janice is survived by Rick, her loving husband of 38 years, daughters, Kristin and Kimberly, 3 grandchildren, Justin, Dylan and Alexis, her brother, Ed, and sister, Madeliene. Born in College Point, NY in 1944 to Edmond and Helena Kaeding, she attended school in College Point and eventually became a statistical analyst for AT & T in New York City, before marrying Rick in 1970. Rick and Janice moved to Atlanta in 1979 and lived in Lilburn until 1990 when they moved to Snellville, where Janice returned to work as a dental assistant. Janice will be missed by many; remembered as a loving, kind person and rejoiced over by God. A funeral service will be held Monday, June 11, 2007 at 8 pm, at Grace Fellowship Church with Pastor Buddy Hoffman officiating. Winifred Evelyn Watts Gresham, passed away on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the age of 87 of complications from diabetes and Parkinson's Disease. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Olin Gresham, Sr. and son, Charles (Chuck) Olin Gresham, Jr. Born in Molena, Ga. on October 12, 1919 she married Olin Gresham in 1938. Their marriage withstood the test of time and endured for nearly 68 years until Olin passed away last year at the age of 90. Their union produced seven children. Survivors include Nancy Gresham Wilson of Winder, Susan Gresham Pierson of Lilburn, Sparkle Gresham McFarland of Winder, Jill Gresham Frost of Madison, Ginger Gresham Stancil of Loganville, Melanie Gresham Fain of Loganville, 15 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, sisters Edna Allen of Waynesboro and Annie Page of Newnan.
