DeWinkle - McCall

Gary and Carol DeWinkle of Kennewick, Wash., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kimberly Michelle DeWinkle of Lawrenceville, to James J. McCall Jr. of Kennesaw, son of Jim and Kerry McCall of Miami.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeWinkle of Washington. She is employed by Parkview Christian School in Lilburn as a drama teacher.

The future groom is the grandson of Becky Mizzell of Sanford, Fla., and Richard and Mary McCall of Dade City, Fla. He is the great-grandson of Dorothy Jackson of Charleston, S.C. He attended Miami Dade College in Miami. He is attending Covenant College in Lookout Mountain. He plans to pursue a degree in Christian counseling and work as a construction contractor.

The wedding is planned for June 30 in Kennewick, Wash.

Dishman - Snell

Mr. and Mrs. Clyde L. Dishman of Grayson announce the engagement of their daughter, Christie Leanna Dishman, to Joseph Eric Snell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robin J. Snell of Loganville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Betty Wade of Atlanta and the late Edwin Wade, and Harriett Dishman of Newport News, Va. She is a 2003 graduate of South Gwinnett High School. She is a 2007 cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a bachelor's degree in special education. She plans to work at Grayson High School as a teacher and cheerleading coach.

The future groom is the grandson of Lucile Clark of Lawrenceville and the late Joe T. Clark, and Mr. and Mrs. Earle Snell of Snellville. He is a 2002 graduate of South Gwinnett High School. He attended Gainesville State College. He is employed by E.R. Snell Contractor Inc. as a foreman.

The wedding is planned for July 7 at Snellville United Methodist Church.

Watson - Johnson

Bennie Watson of Flowery Branch and Nancy Watson of Duluth announce the engagement of their daughter, Donna Joelle Watson of Buford, to Shannon Larry Johnson of Dacula, son of Larry and Sharon Johnson of Lawrenceville.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late W.D. and Lucy Watson, and the late Robert and Mattie Seals. She is a 1990 graduate of Duluth High School. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where she received a master's degree in social work.

The future groom is the grandson of Buford and Gladys Kesler of Lawrenceville, and the late Hurman and Vera Johnson. He is a 1992 graduate of Duluth High School. He is employed by Suburban Tire Company as a manager.

The wedding is planned for July 14 at Christian City Church in Lawrenceville.

Filaski - Verges

Donald and Ethel Filaski of Loganville announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine Joanne Filaski of San Francisco, to Christopher Eugene Verges of Santa Clara, Calif., son of Gregory and Melanie Verges of Metairie, La.

The bride-elect is a graduate of Georgia Tech. She is attending the University of California in San Francisco, where she is working on her doctorate degree in biochemistry.

The future groom is a graduate of Georgia Tech. He is employed by Cyber Switching Inc. in San Jose, Calif., as a technical sales engineer.

He is a 2006 graduate of North Georgia College and State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in business marketing.
