Mr. E. J. Burnette, age 74, of Buford, GA, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2007. Surviving are: Wife of 53 Years: Mrs. Lena Maynard Burnette, Buford, GA; Son and Daughter-in-Law: David and Delphia Burnette, Lawrenceville, GA; Daughters and Sons-in-Law: Marie and Norman Ramey, Flowery Branch, GA, Patricia and Earnesto Alvarez, Spartanburg, SC, Cindy and Randy Richards, Canton, GA, Wanda Maddox, Buford, GA, Callie Clack, Flowery Branch, GA; 17 Grandchildren; Six Great Grandchildren; Sister: Dorothy Smith, Covington, GA; Several nieces, nephews and cousins. Mr. Burnette was born on June 27, 1932 in Walton County, GA. He was retired from Vulcan Materials of Norcross as a Security Guard. He was a member of Rock of Christ Baptist Church. George David Braitsch, 36, resident of Dacula, died June 4th, 2007. He was a wonderful husband to Teri, his wife of 13 beautiful years and was a very loving father to his only child, Olivia Shaye Braitsch. He was a faithful worker at Ricoh Electronics for 14 years. George greatly enjoyed his family and friends. This past winter he was Olivia's basketball coach and we all had a great time. He also helped coach her soccer teams. Some of his favorite sports teams were the New York Giants, New Jersey Devils and the Penn State Nittany Lions. He also loved the New York Yankees and collected all sorts of baseball memorabilia. Hunting and taking his little girl fishing were also some of his enjoyments. More than anything else, he enjoyed taking care of his two favorite girls. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. George, now you can play all the baseball you want, hit me and Livi some home runs. We love you and we'll miss you deeply. In addition to his wife and daughter he is survived by his parents, Ira Gordon and Charlotte Braitsch of Lawrenceville; his grandmother, Marie Braitsch of South River, NJ; two nieces, Rachel Duckworth and Brook Smolarsky; three nephews, Kyle Smolarsky, Christopher Smolarsky and Riley Duckworth; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl Ray and Judy Faye Duckworth. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in the chapel of Wages and Sons Funeral Home in Lawrenceville. Interment will follow in Gwinnett Memorial Park Cemetery.
