Mrs. Evelyn Hughes West, age 83, of the Hog Mountain Community, Dacula, GA, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Luke West and son, Phillip West. She is survived by her: Son and Daughter-in-Law: Brad and Linda West, Norcross, GA; Grandchildren: Tyler West, Dylan West, Sarah Shepherd, Amanda Shepherd, Mark Shepherd; Brother and Sister-in-Law: Mark and Betty Hughes, Lawrenceville, GA; Sisters-in-Law and Brothers-in-Law: Bobbie and Winford Gower, Dacula, GA, Claudine and Don Williams, Auburn, GA; Several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins. Mrs. West was born October 15, 1923 in DeKalb County, GA. She and her late husband, Luke West, lived in the Hog Mountain Community, Dacula, GA for over 35 years. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Tucker, GA. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Tucker, GA with Rev. Farrell K. Presley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements by Junior E.
