Mr. Billy Wendell Cowart, age 67, of Lilburn, GA, passed away early Wednesday, July 25, 2007, at Barrow Regional Medical Center. Mr. Cowart was a native of Emanuel County, retiring after many years of self-employment by Cowart Tree Service, and a member of Bethel Primitive Baptist Church near Twin City. He was preceded in death by a son, Derrick Cowart. Mr. Cowart is survived by his wife, Brenda Hembree Cowart; his mother, Etta Cowart Hall of Twin City; 3 daughters, Diane Jones, Denise Williams, and Dana Sims, all of Winder; 1 son, Douglas Cowart, also of Winder; 7 grandchildren, Kelly Bush, Melissa Williams, Paige Cowart, Matthew Sims, Bradley Sims, Jessica Jones, Brittany Davis; 2 great-grandchildren, Javanni and Juliani Bush; 2 sisters, Lynda Morgan-Mitchell of Twin City and Mary Ann Testone of Callahan, FL; 2 brothers, Tommy Cowart of Twin City and Lewis Cowart of Garfield. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 28, from the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating, assisted by Rev. Joseph Brock. Burial will follow in the Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Emanuel County. Pallbearers: Anthony Reeves, Ricky Walker, Tony Cowart, Bubba Morgan, Kyle Cowart, Junior Newsome, Gary Polka, Bubba Testone. The family will receive friends at the Funeral home beginning at 11:00 am Saturday. Johnson Funeral Home of Swainsboro is in charge of arrangements for the funeral of Mr. Billy W. Cowart of Lilburn.
