Lawrenceville man indicted on charges of sexual abuse

LAWRENCEVILLE - A 39-year-old Lawrenceville man will face six counts of cruelty to children, sexual battery and child molestation stemming from incidents as far back as 2003, according to an indictment released Thursday.

Jack A. Reeck, who resided on Sunny Field Lane, was arrested April 24 and remains at the Gwinnett County Jail without bond. Reeck's arraignment hearing, the next step in the case, should be set within 30 days of the July 19 indictment. The indictment alleges Reeck was involved in four instances of abusive behavior against victims younger than 18, including three sexual encounters with children under age 16. He is charged with six felonies.

On June 1, 2003, Reeck allegedly molested three children under age 16 after he manipulated them into entering a hot tub naked, according to the bill. Between that date and September 2006, Reeck also allegedly committed sexual battery against two females.

The indictment also accuses Reeck of allegedly causing "cruel, physical pain by slamming (a child's) head into the wall" in 2005 and 2006.

Reeck is not listed on the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Department sex offender registry for prior offenses, according to the department.
